A first contribution is from Lee Jeffrey, who named some more of the people on Lee's photos

1. Potato Harvest Potato Harvest  These 5 people are farming for potatoes in Haddlesey (L-R) Edie Poole - Mrs Atkinson - Joe Davison - Mr Killingbeck - Vince Davison. Joe and Vince Davison were Lee's mother-in-law's grandad and uncle.

2.  Floods of 1946/7 - West Haddlesey - A  floods a   The house on the left is directly opposite the George & Dragon Pub. The house was to become the village post office in the 1950s. Lee's mother-in-law lived  in this house through her childhood.

3.  Floods of 1946/7 - B Floods B Looking down the road with the George & Dragon on our left. The farm at the end is Gable Farm

4. George & Dragon pub in the 1960s George & Dragon in 60s This is taken from the upstairs window of the Post Office. There was a shop in the George & Dragon, the recent opening is therefore a renewal.

The door & window on the gable end was the shop [Notice the "new" Eggborough power station in the background].

5. Chapel in Chapel Haddlesey Chapel Haddlesey Chapel  Taken in 1966 - it is thought that this is the last wedding to take place at the chapel. as it later became a house and then it was the dressmaking studio for the present Cllr M Skirrow. In this picture the bride is Lee Jeffrey's mother in law.
