Whilst this picture shows the historic parish church in Chapel Haddlesey, the Parish Council is not the body that looks after the church. That is the Parochial Church Council.

Parish Councils are the level of local government nearest to the people.

Chapel Haddlesey is a small village sited just north of the River Aire between the M62 Junction 34 (A19) and the market town of Selby. It has 172 electors, most of which live on the linear street which runs east to west parallel to the River Aire.
